The Power and Glory of God concert was a huge success. Advent Brass took part, both as part of the full orchestra and as a featured solo group. The brass were privileged to be part of the program, which featured a choir of over 120 and a 41 piece orchestra.The concert saw many types of musical groups perform, from full choirs to ensembles, organ solo and string orchestra. Advent Brass played in four numbers: John Rutter’s “Gloria”, a custom arrangement of three hymns by Penelope Babienko titled “In the Light of His Glory and Grace” for brass, organ and piano, an arrangement of “The Majesty and Glory of Your Name,” orchestrated by Michael Lawrence, and the “Hallalujah Chorus” by G.F. Handel.
